El pronombre SIEMPRE va en medio: *turn it off* ✅ / *turn off it* ❌. Con sustantivo puedes elegir: *turn off the TV* = *turn the TV off*.
Nombra 4 phrasal verbs inseparables
*look after*, *run into*, *get over*, *come across*. El objeto va siempre después: *I ran into him*.
Familia GET: get up / get over / get along / get by / get rid of
Levantarse / superar / llevarse bien / arreglárselas / deshacerse de.
Familia PUT: put on / put off / put up with / put out / put away
Ponerse (ropa) / posponer / tolerar / apagar (fuego) / guardar.
¿Qué idea central aporta la partícula UP?
Completar, aumentar, hacia arriba: *finish up, speak up, use up, eat up*.
¿Qué idea central aporta la partícula OFF?
Separación o interrupción: *take off, call off, put off, break off*. Por eso *the meeting was called off* = se canceló.
¿Qué idea central aportan OVER y THROUGH?
OVER = repasar, de nuevo, superar (*go over, get over, start over*). THROUGH = de principio a fin (*go through, get through, look through*).
*The car broke down.* / *He showed up late.* / *Shut up.*
